In this middle school math resource puzzle bundle, students will work independently or cooperatively to solve a triangular jigsaw puzzle called a Tarsia puzzle. In this resource, students will strengthen their understanding of various topics, including fractions, percentages, decimals, circumferences, equivalencies, circles, and integers.
 
Tarsia Puzzles are a great addition to any classroom. They're versatile, easy to prep, and perfect for reviewing material. Initially, I made these Tarsia puzzles as a consolidation activity to ensure my students' understanding.
They loved the challenge so much that I decided to start selling them!
 
Tarsia puzzles are great brain teasers. Not because they're complex but because many factors are at play. Students use their spatial reasoning to create the 2D shape while solving problems in every puzzle tile. I assign them to groups of 2 or 3 and have them complete it strategically. Doing so strengthens their ability to work cooperatively. Together, they can reason and critically think of the best method to solve the puzzle.
 
The puzzles are in printable PDF format, but I have included an editable version of the Tarsia puzzle, just in case you want to create one for yourself. You may have a student on an IEP and want to meet his specific needs. This engaging resource is the perfect fit whether you're an elementary or high school teacher.
